Richard Charette

Richard Lawrence Charette, known by many as "Dicky," born on November 10, 1946, in Ellenburg, NY, passed away on March 17, 2024. Richard was a resilient soul, who spent most of his life in Chicopee, Massachusetts after leaving his birthplace. His roots began working on a farm, then later in life leading him to his passion of roofing and construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to country music and making everyone around him laugh. His love for animals was undeniable, especially for his beloved dogs Zoe and Sadie. Richards legacy of strength, humor and love for his family will live on through those he has left behind.

Richard was a loving father to his sons, Michael Charette and Shonna and Richard Charette Jr., and a loving grandfather to Angela DeCaro and Frank, Mallory Charette and Matthew Catjakis, Jade Charette, and Anthony Charette. Richard was the youngest of 10 siblings. Surviving are his brother Roger Charette and sister Shirley Davis. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred Charette and Leona (Laclair), his seven siblings, his beloved wife Margaret Charette, and his cherished daughter, Kimberly Charette. This funny, loving, and thoughtful man will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
