Marylou Winward

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marylou Winward. She passed
away peacefully on November 24th, 2024, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Marylou was born October 12th, 1943, in Akron Ohio. She graduated from cosmetology school and worked as a cosmetologist. She also worked briefly in a Bakery and a Casino. Marylou was a caring, strong, determined, and loving woman. She overcame several adversities in her life and always had a smile on her face. She was always there for her family and friends and would help anyone who was in need. She was a devoted Mother who loved all her children deeply. Marylou is survived by her son; Michael Murray. Her daughters; Michelle Woffenden (Nick), Melanie Westcott (Dan), and Alexis Winward. Her sister; Linda Linn, and her grandchildren; Daniel, Kassy Marie, Danielle, Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Rachel. Her legacy lives on in her great-grandchildren; Sophia, Daniel, T.J., Robbie, and Charlotte. She also leaves several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years; Leonard Winward Jr., her parents; Robert and Ethyl Linn, and her brothers; Henry Jr., Theodore, Edward, and Arthur Neptune.
She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo, going to the casino and playing cards with family and friends. She had a love for antiques and older cars. Marylou loved to travel and lived in many places with the love of her life Leonard. They loved going to the ocean, exploring new places and 4-wheeling in the mountains. She enjoyed being with all her grandkids and watching their activities. In her later days she could be found sitting on her deck swinging and talking with friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

As per Marylou’s wishes, there will be no public service; the family will remember her in their own special way.
