Bruce Pacyna

–

Deerfield, Massachusetts

With profound grief and sadness, I, Bridget, announce the passing of my beloved husband, Bruce Pacyna, who left us on January 4, 2026. Born on November 15, 1947, in New Britain, CT, Bruce was a man of principle, integrity, and unwavering love for his family. Throughout his life, he carried a quote close to his heart, "To the world you're just one person, but to one person you may be the world." That person was undoubtedly Bruce for many who knew him.

Bruce was an esteemed postal employee at the USPO in Springfield, MA from where he retired. He was an environmentalist, a proud Vietnam veteran, and a dedicated Vipassana meditator for thirty years. His love for reading was unparalleled, often seen engrossed in a book with a cup of coffee by his side. He was a man of intellect, relishing the challenge of New York Times crossword puzzles. Bruce also had a fondness for Legos and Apple products, his curious mind always eager to explore and create.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Riley, and his stepdaughters Griffin and Sarah Riley and his grandson, Mike Riley-Joe. He also leaves behind his siblings - Joe Pacyna, Paula Pacyna, Sandy Danko, Karen Shookus, and Debbie Joraskie. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Pacyna and Freida Pacyna. Bruce's absence leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled. His memory, however, will continue to live on in the stories we share, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave us.

In Bruce's memory, we invite you to share your stories, photographs, and memories of him on his memorial page. Each shared memory will serve as a reminder of his enduring spirit and the life he lived so fully.
